When applying simulation to building ventilation, the CFD calculation can rarely cover every detail on every ventilation device, otherwise would require enormous calculating resource. On the other hand, if a systemic analysis is applied, specific models and relative performance parameters need to be set on each ventilation device. Defines the applied discharge coefficient for practical engineering projects, regarding the discharge coefficient model in systemic simulation software. The results show that the relationship between the discharge coefficient and the geometric parameters of various ventilation devices based on polynomial fitting with relatively high accuracy. The results provide a thorough study of natural ventilation with theoretical basis and data support.
